BOILING POINT

Boiling Point was first started in 1997, in order to keep environmental issues on the boil despite their going out of the public mind as soon as they are out of sight, having made a brief appearance in the media. The latest Boiling Point follows.

January 2009 - Take Climate Action to a Deeper Level
In this issue, the exclusively rational scientific approach to taking action on climate change is challenged as short-sighted, since it is the ‘human induced’ element which is most significant. We argue that the complex world of motivation has to be addressed before we can expect people or governments to change, and campaigners need a deeper perception of what constitutes practical action, without hastily dismissing it as‘too late’- or a diversion for which we no longer have time.
